Polyfoam Participates in Local Recycling Program

Polyfoam Corporation once again participated in a local recycling program that took place around Earth Day. The company proactively supports the local community’s recycling efforts through a variety of efforts, and has participated in this program for several years.

Polyfoam has been dedicated to preserving the environment, and takes the three “R” program – reduce, reuse, recycle – very seriously. Polyfoam is a charter member of the Alliance of Foam Packaging Recyclers (AFPR), whose mandate is to recycle as much EPS material as possible. In line with that, the company is listed nationally as an EPS recycling site, and has developed take-back programs to reuse and/or recycle customers’ products.

The company also stresses the importance of caring for the local community and environment. In addition to participating in recycling programs, they have the supported local environmental groups such as the Blackstone River Watershed Association for numerous years.
